Industriales open the scoring with a double by RF Dairon Blanco and an RBI single by CF Carlos Alberto before the first out was recorded in the bottom of the first. Alberto moved from first to third on a passed ball that C Franklin Aballe had trouble finding, then scored on a sacrifice fly by SS Lourdes Gourriel. They added a home run by 1B Alexander Malleta in the third. In the bottom of the fifth, Industriales benefited from two walks with two out by Holguin starter LHP Lander Moreira. Moreira was replaced by Maikel Sainz, who proceed to hit the first batter he faced, loading the bases. The next batter, DH Lisban Correa, hit a two-RBI single, and Industriales led 5-0. Holguin responded with a big sixth inning. LF-CF Geidis Soler got them on the board with an RBI single, and 1B Yeison Pacheco hit an RBI double. Holguin got two more runs on a two-RBI single by 3B Jose Castenada. However, SS Lourdes Gourriel made a great effort to keep the ball from getting out of the infield, and Alberto made a spectacular catch in center field that saved three runs. Industriales is based in Havana, and has an 8-5 record in the Second Phase of the Cuban National Series. Holguin is in eastern Cuba, and has a record of 4-9.

Industriales plays their home games in Estadio America Latina, which has a capacity of 55,000. Havana had a team in the International League, the Havana Sugar Kings, from 1954 to 1960. They were a farm club of the Reds, and played in this ballpark. The ballpark has a special section behind home plate for tourists (admission: $3). Unfortunately, I must report that the men's toilet is filthy.
