#1 Faulkner lost a non-conference game at Reinhardt, 7-1, then swept Bethel, 7-4, 8-7, and 1-0. Nine Reinhardt pitchers combined to hold Faulkner to two hits. 1B Chap Lindstrom went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI for Reinhardt. Story CF Chris Madera went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in the first game against Bethel. Victor Arche got the win, pitched seven innings, allowed only two earned runs on six hits, struck out eight. Story The Eagles led the second game 8-3 going into the seventh and final inning, but 1B Sam Seaton hit a grand slam home run for the Wildcats to make it a one-run game. Jack Charleston and Alejandro Castro combined for the shutout in the third game. Charleston went 7 2/3 innings, allowed four hits, struck out eight. Castro retired all four batters he faced, struck out two of them. RF Nick Cain hit an RBI single for the only run of the game. Story

#14 Auburn-Montgomery leads the Southern States Athletic Conference with a 20-1 conference record. The Eagles are three games back with a 17-4 record. The Eagles visit #10 Tennessee Wesleyan April 8, Belhaven April 10-11, and #5 Georgia Gwinnett April 14 (video).

#2 Davenport swept two games at Purdue-North Central, 6-0 and 15-5, and four games at Marygrove, 23-4, 10-0, 21-0, and 10-1. Corbin Clouse, Ryan Butzer, and Alex Schuiling combined for a one-hit shutour in the first game against. Purdue-North Central. Clouse pitched five innings, allowed the only hit, and struck out five. CF Cam Cooper hit a three-run home run in the second game. Cooper went 4-for-4 in the first game against Marygrove, scored all four times he was on base, batted in two more runs. Anthony Alarcon and Butzer combined for the two-hit shutout in the second game. Brendan Bender, Brandon MacKinnon, and Schuiling combined for the shutout in the third game. Bender also hit a triple and a sacrifice fly. He played first base in the fourth game, and hit a two-run home run and another sacrifice fly.

The Panthers have won 22 straight. They continue to hold a ½ game lead over #24 Northwestern Ohio in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. They host Aquinas April 8, and visit Indiana Tech April 11-12.

#3 Northwood swept Florida Memorial, 2-1, 8-1, and 12-7, and got another win over Ave Maria, 13-6. Cody Gray went the distance in the first game against Florida Memorial, allowed five hits, struck out nine. 1B Ryan Palenzuela scored the winning run as a result of two throwing errors. C Carlos Contreras went 4-for-4. Keivan Berges combined with three relievers to hold Florida Memorial to two hits in the second game. CF Casey Mullenix hit a two-run home run. As the DH in the third game, Berges went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double, and four RBI. Patrick Barrington got the win in relief, pitched four hitless innings. Story The Seahawks got nine runs in the first inning, five of them unearned, against Ave Maria. RF/CF Andrew Danner and SS Jesus Fuenmayor both went 4-for-6. Story

Berges has 59 RBI, second-most in the NAIA, behind Ty Abbott of #5 Georgia Gwinnett. The Seahawks have won 16 straight. They have a 4 ½ game lead over #17 Embry-Riddle in The Sun Conference. The Seahawks visit Thomas April 10-11.

#4 Oklahoma City lost a game to Division II Oklahoma Christian, 7-6, then swept Texas Wesleyan, 6-4, 8-3, and 5-1. Oklahoma Christian led the Stars the whole way. The Stars got two runs in the to of the eighth to make it a one-run ball game, and they had the tying run at first when the game ended. Brennan walker got the win for the Eagles, and 1B Kolton Brown batted in three runs. Story RF/1B Joe Lytle went 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBI in the first game against Texas Wesleyan. Story Dustin Cook got the win in the second game, running his record to 7-0. Matt Young and Miguel Gonzalez scattered nine hits in the third game. All of the runs were scored in the sixth inning, and the winning run came on a two-RBI double by 2B Ryan Wright. Story

The Stars have a ½ game lead over Oklahoma Baptist in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars visit Evangel in a non-conference game April 9 (video), then host Division II East Central April 14.

#5 Georgia Gwinnett won two of three at South Carolina-Beaufort, 2-10, 13-10, and 9-4. Junior Delatorre got the win for the Sand Sharks in the first game, went 6 1/3 innings, allowed four hits, struck out 11. 2B Josh Reinhart went 3-for-5 with two RBI for the Sand Sharks. 2B Ernesto Vasquez went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI for the Grizzlies in the second game. Story The Grizzlies scored seven runs on the fourth inning to put the third game away. Ryan Minteer got the win. Story The Grizzlies host West Virginia Tech April 11-12, and #1 Faulkner April 14 (video for all four games).

#6 and ISR #1 The Master's swept Arizona Christian, 12-2, 11-0, and 3-1. Jason Karkenny got the win in the first game, pitched six shutout innings, allowed five hits. SS Jonathan Popadics went 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored. Story Ty Galloway got the win in the second game, went six innings, allowed three hits. 1B Collin Nyenhuis went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Conner Menez went the seven-inning distance in the third game, allowed six hits, struck out nine. 3B Nick Covello hit a triple in the first inning to bring in the Mustangs' first run, then went home in an error to score the winning run. Galloway is 9-2, 3.50 ERA, and 50 strikeouts; his nine wins puts him in a tie for second in wins in the NAIA. The Mustangs continue to hold a 1 ½ game lead over #12 Westmont in the Golden State Athletic Conference. The Mustangs host William Jessup April 10-11 (video).

Brett Clark of Friends pitched a seven-inning no-hitter in a 4-0 win over McPherson. He walked only one batter, struck out seven, and threw 82 pitches. Story
