Oklahoma City (5-1) split a double-header with Missouri Baptist. The Spartans won their season opener 2-1; Bunk Coronado, a transfer from LSU-Shreveport, and Aaron Matula combined to hold the Stars to three hits, and Coronado recorded nine strikeouts. LF Joe Riley doubled in the winning run. The Stars won the nightcap 9-1; Blake Schwartz and Patrick Goelz combined to hold the Spartans to one hit, and Schwartz struck out ten of the 17 batters he faced. RF Chad Carman batted in three of the Stars' runs. A mid-week game at Central Oklahoma was canceled, and a pair of weekend games against Ottawa were also canceled. The Stars have a busy week ahead. They host Southern Nazarene Feb. 16, MidAmerica Nazarene Feb. 17-18, and Bellevue Feb. 18-19.
Concordia-Irvine (3-4) lost four games on the week to Division II teams; 11-1 to Cal State-Los Angeles, and 7-6 (11 innings), 14-8, and 6-4 to Cal Poly Pomona. The Eagles missed two chances to win the extra-innings game. They outhit Cal Poly Pomona in the second game, but Eagle pitched walked ten batters, and hit three more. The Eagles host Patten Feb. 17-18.
Lee (8-0) defeated Tennessee Temple 15-0, and recorded three shutouts against Shawnee State, 5-0, 2-0, and 4-0. Kris Hall and Joe Fabre combined for a two-hit shutout in the first Shawnee State game (Hall struck out twelve), Patrick Merkling pitched five hitless innings in the second game, and Jose Samayoa allowed one hit in the first five innings of the third game. 1B Roberto Reyes hit a three-run home run in the third game. The Flames host Union C. (KY) Feb. 13, visit Tennessee Wesleyan Feb. 15, and visit Emmanuel Feb. 17-18.
Lubbock Christian (4-3) won three games against York, 8-1, 8-5, and 7-5. A fourth scheduled game was postponed because of weather. Tyler Rogers struck out 13 in the first game, and RF Richard Bohlken hit three doubles in the second game, tying a school record. The Chaparrals host Tabor Feb. 17-18, and Lubbock is providing streaming video of their home games.
Embry-Riddle (8-2) swept three games from Warner, 17-9, 13-12, and 12-2. 1B Chris Page hit three home runs during the series, batted in ten runs. The Eagles visit Thomas (GA) Feb. 14, and host Webber International Feb. 17-18..
LSU-Shreveport (6-0) had a good week. The Pilots defeated Southern Polytechnic 12-2, Cumberland 9-0, and Belhaven 11-3. Four pitchers saw action in the shutout against Cumberland, but Matt Lackie pitched the first six innings, allowed four hits, struck out six. DH Greg Friesen went 4-for-5 with two doubles against Belhaven. The Pilots host Wiley Feb. 17-18, and visit Houston-Victoria Feb. 20.
Cumberland (2-4) lost 5-2 to Belhaven, and 9-0 to LSU-Shreveport. Belhaven scored four unearned runs, and the Bulldogs stranded 12 baserunners. The Bulldogs also lost 2-1 to Southern Polytechnic; they were held to three hits by David Gibson, who recorded nine strikeouts. The Bulldogs host Milligan Feb. 15, and Lendsey Wilson Feb. 16.
Faulkner (8-0) defeated Division II West Alabama 9-5, and swept four games against Harris Stowe, 13-4, 6-0, 7-2, and 16-1. Zach Sterling, Casey Wilson, and Kyle Wyatt combined for the two-hit shutout.The Eagles host Auburn-Montgomery Feb. 17-18. Faulkner provides streaming video of their home games.

Biola (4-3) defeated Division II Cal State-San Bernardino 8-5, and lost two of three at Arizona Christian, 4-7, 3-9, and 6-4. The series at Arizona Christian was the opening of their new ballpark, and the first game drew 600 fans. 3B Vinnie Fayard went 4-4 with two RBI in the Biola win. The Eagles host Division Cal State-Los Angeles Feb. 13. Their next four games are in Redding, CA; two against British Columbia Feb. 16-17, and two against Simpson Feb. 17-18.
Lewis-Clark State (6-2) won the Guardian Plumbing and Heating Tournament, defeating Concordia-Portland 7-3, Division III George Fox 13-6, and British Columbia 7-6 and 13-10. Carson Nylund, Tyler Duffin, Garrett Tygerson, and Luke Goodgion got the wins. 1B Alfonso Casillas went 4-for-5 with two RBI in the final game.
